Hi thanks for the info. I will change the time to 9, 6, 1am, so as to they have less time lapse
between meals. When should I be able to start them on seeds? I put them in a small cage with
strips of newspapers and cover 3 sides of the cage with a cloth to keep them warm and place it
in a guest room for warmth. Before I leave for work, I will hang the cage opposite an adult
cage. I put a perch in the cage too.

You can put seed in there any time you're ready. The sooner the better so they can learn to
eat it. Some other good weaning foods are carrot tops and parsley. Budgies love those.
If they're feathered you shouldn't have to worry about heating the cage just make sure the room
doesn't get too cold.
Great idea. This may help them learn to eat faster since they can watch the adults.
