My cocatiels have layed eggs what should I feed them. I have read the
parents should be given soft food about three day before the eggs hatch,
what do you suggest. Any other info you think may be helpful to me.

My regular diet includes soft foods so all my birds are fed the same thing year-round. They
just eat more when they have chicks to feed. If you only feed pellets as a standard diet you
should start offering soft foods. These are easy to digest, can quickly be fed back to the
chicks and are greatly appreciated by pairs. They should be offered as long as the pair has
chicks. Soft foods include things like bread, eggs (mashed cooked with the shell), Crazy Corn,
frozen veggies, greens, fruit and oatmeal.
