Bird Room Humidity

Letter

What percent humidity should a bird room be kept at? My Grey room is a constant 68% and 77 *deg.

I never really give humidity a second thought except concerning brooding and incubating. Here in California it can get pretty dry during the summer but I've never had a problem with my outdoor pairs. If you're worried about eggs drying out you can just spray the lid of the nestbox as hatching nears. 68% sounds like an okay humidity. You never want it to be too high because this promotes growth of bacteria and fungi.
